Kelston Formation Roadmap

At every stage of a boy’s journey, Kelston seeks to accompany both him and his family, helping him grow in character, faith and maturity through mentoring, friendship and formation.

Years 7–8

Juniors

Build strong foundations.

Character

Boys develop good habits and virtues through mentoring, encouragement and correction. They are challenged to seek the good in how they behave at Kelston, at home and at school, learning from their mistakes and growing in responsibility.

Faith

Boys learn the Church’s essential vocal prayers by heart—including the Angelus, St Michael Prayer and Anima Christi—and receive the foundations of the Catholic faith and sacramental life.

Family

Families are accompanied through mentoring, regular communication and practical guidance as they support their son’s growth.

Years 9–10

Seniors

Grow in responsibility.

Character

Boys are challenged to take responsibility for their choices, growing in virtue, resilience, leadership and service through mentoring and personal challenge.

Faith

Boys deepen their prayer life and understanding of the Catholic faith, morality and vocation, helping them make the faith their own.

Family

Families are supported through adolescence with mentoring, formation and practical guidance.

Years 11–13+

Study Centre

Formation

Young men are introduced to the spiritual life through mentoring, apologetics and reading groups—including Mere Christianity and Theology of the Body— equipping them to understand, live and explain their faith.

Study & Community

Dedicated, distraction-free study sessions, academic mentoring, leadership opportunities and a rich programme of trips and activities prepare young men for university, work and adult life.

Family

Families receive support as their sons navigate relationships, university, vocation and the transition into adulthood.
